Kennedy Catches Heat for Anti-Wind Efforts
Posted by Jonathan H. Adler  ·   7 January 2006  ·  Energy

Apparently RFK Jr's opposition to the development of a wind farm off of the coast of Cape Cod is not sitting well with many other environmentalists. GristMill has the details here.

Comments
  1. These wind farm blowups highlight the silliness and the hypocrisy of the eco-industry. For every eco-organization that wants wind farms, there are two other eco-orgs that will sue to stop their construction. They are suing and winning on the grounds of sight pollution, noise pollution and destruction of birds and animals by turbine blades.

Consequently, no wind farm of any size will every be built in America again. Yet the left will continue to preach (and demand donations) saying that wind farms are the answer to our artificial energy shortage.

  2. Jake you are close, but you are not there. The enviromentalist thing is just a shell game of "jam, yesterday, jam tommorrow, and never jam today."

Now that wind is getting close to ecomomic production, they have to stop it and distract us from the stopage by pointing to solar.

Wait until somebody wants to carpet 300 sq. mi. of the Sonoran desert with solar panels. Gila monsters will be more precious than caribou in ANWR.

The only hope for a technology that will lead to a rational enegy problem is to begin by burning enviromentalists. We could do worse than by starting with the Kennedy family.
