That's the plan, announced by the Bush Administration Tuesday.

That Times article was completely useless. As well as requiring a login.

The plan is to sequester the CO2.

  2. The article actually does quite well in (inadvertently) pointing out the shrillness of the "mandate-ites" who don't really care about actual emission reduction but only about requirement protocols and more work for the lawyers anad activists. Bush administration has made it clear that they'll be happy to incent folks to reduce emissions through technology innovation (which by the way put the U.S. in the enviable economic situation it's in)--global leadeership is NOT just running to the front of the tired parade and marching.

  3. Feh.

How about a zero emission nuclear plant?

(otherwise known as every nuclear plant)

  4. Nuclear or coal, who cares? What about mobile sources of air pollution? The latest federal transportation bill, SAFETEA-LU, passed by Republicans and Democrats, is woefully short on funding for mass transit but offers plenty of money for more roads. More roads = more cars = more air pollution.
